The MMC 1100 Z2 is equipped with a natural granite base. The X-Y-axis cross slide and the guidance of the Z-axis with its integrated high-speed spindle have hydrostatic design.

With the linear drives in those axis a dynamic structuring of the work pieces is possible. It is possible to assemble on the hydrostatic supported rotary tabel a vacuum-chuck or other modules.

The movement of the airborne milling spindle is controlled with a needle bearing Z-slide driven by a ball bearing spindle combined with a DC-servo-motor.

The mechanical connection between Z-axis and milling- / workpiece spindle composes a manual pivot axis (B-axis) with a rotation range of 360°. The conception of the machine allows diamond milling on working pieces from Ø 500 mm (depending on the milling head diameter) up to a length of 800 mm, and on the other hand Single-Point-Diamond Turning by using X, Y and C-axis.
