 For more than 10 years, LT-Ultra has been developing and perfecting laser heads with motorized pivoting swivel axes for 3D applications. The rotational axis has limitless rotational freedom and its precision gearbox is combined with servomotors according to the customer’s specifications. Even when rotating, the under slung head is continually supplied with process gas, cooling-water and all electric signals and power. Also available are direct water-cooled metallic plane mirrors enhanced through a low absorption coating for 1064/1070 nm applications. One of the mirror units can be replaced with an optional adaptive optic mirror for dynamic autofocus functionality. The clear aperture of these heads is 60 mm and thereby permits its use with broader beam diameters. ··· More ··· 
LT Ultra supplies this individual swivel axis with a direct drive motor unit (torque motor), which is capable of high acceleration and can be positioned with an accuracy of 10 arc seconds. The standard product comes complete with motor, incremental measurement system, adjustable connection flange, pneumatic brake and a 3D anti-collision system. The omission of mechanical rotating parts guarantees consistently high machining accuracy, and long service life. The unit has a ± 160° swivel range, and a variety of applications can be served with the appropriate process heads for cutting and/or welding. A fiber collimator can be installed either directly on the axis unit or remotely to it, and its clear aperture is 35 mm or 40 mm for use with the SD-40 metal mirrors. This unit is particularly suited to applications where high degrees of accuracy are required, such as in tube cutting systems. |
