Auto Focus Control

In a typical 2D flatbed application, the position of the 90° adaptive optic device is such that its mirror is the last before the focusing optics and therefore, automatically has full control over the beam deflection in the z-axis. Generally, in the case of 3D applications, the adaptive optic device replaces one of the head’s planar mirrors and eliminates the requirement for additional mirrors in the beam guidance system.

Furthermore, this adaptive optic can be used before beginning the cut to pierce the material. Here, time savings up to 50% can be gained, particularly where thick materials are being worked. Finally, the adaptive optic of LT Ultra is a dynamic tool – full pressure (full-lift) is reached in less than 0.1 seconds!

Up to 20mm beam adjustment can be obtained from a lens (check) with a focal length of 7.5”. Besides the strict manufacturing policies in place, the adaptive optic components from LT Ultra have 100% control over the beam and maintain its quality.
